John M. “Jack” Fernandez is the founder and President of Industrial Hygiene Professionals, Inc. (IHP) and provides the overall management and technical expertise for the company. Mr. Fernandez has a Master’s Degree in Occupational and Environmental Health and over 30 years of experience in the health and safety profession. He has been certified in the comprehensive practice of Industrial Hygiene (CIH) by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH) since 1992. He is also certified as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) and as a Certified Marine Chemist (CMC) through the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). Mr. Fernandez has numerous other certifications/credentials including OSHA-authorized outreach instructor for the Maritime Industry and Asbestos Project Designer.

Industrial Hygiene Manager
Franco Quintans is the Industrial Hygiene Manager at IHP and is primarily responsible for managing projects where IHP is inspecting, overseeing, or monitoring hazardous materials abatement projects and/or worker exposure assessments. He also is a NIOSH 7400 qualified microscopist for asbestos analysis by phase contrast microscopy (PCM) and manages IHP’s American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) Proficiency Analytical Testing (PAT) Program proficient laboratory. Mr. Quintans has a bachelor’s degree in Biology and is certified in the comprehensive practice of Industrial Hygiene (CIH) by the ABIH, and as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) as well as an Occupational Safety and Health Technician (OSHT) by the BCSP. With over 12 years of experience in the profession, Mr. Quintans also instructs numerous safety training courses as well as conducts general site safety inspections and consultations.

Industrial Hygienist
Leanade (Lee) Cabrera is an Industrial Hygienist with IHP with over 8 years of experience in the EHS field. She is an EPA-accredited Asbestos Building Inspector as well as an EPA-licensed Lead Inspector. As such, she primarily conducts asbestos and lead-based paint (LBP) inspections for our various clients. Mrs. Cabrera also assists in indoor air quality (IAQ) testing, environmental sampling, and exposure assessments as well as analyzes asbestos air samples as a NIOSH 7400-qualified microscopist.

Field Sampling Technician
Edwin Nava is the Field Sampling Technician at IHP with over 10 years of relevant experience. Mr. Nava is an EPA-accredited Asbestos Building Inspector as well as an EPA-accredited Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor and is a crucial member in most asbestos-related projects. Mr. Nava also serves as the on-site air monitoring technician for hazmat abatement projects where IHP is tasked to collect exposure data.

Administrative Officer
Joselyn “Joz” Cruz White is the Administrative Officer and has been with IHP for over 9 years. Mrs. White manages the day to day operations of the office including contract administration, accounting, human resources, and reception. She also manages training announcements and registration for all IHP courses and assists with retail and rental services. Mrs. White has over 30 years of experience in a variety of office settings and industries.
