IHP provides comprehensive industrial hygiene services for the anticipation, recognition, evaluation, and control of occupational hazards. Common hazards encountered include asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, chemical exposure, noise, and radiation.
IHP has extensive experience and expertise in conducting building inspections and hazard assessments. Services include building inspections, laboratory analysis, X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) testing of LBP, exposure assessments, preparation of abatement plans and bid specifications for compliance with applicable regulations. Quality assurance monitoring includes air monitoring, final clearance inspections, and a full documentation package.
IHP provides environmental testing for indoor air quality and mold related issues. IHP also provides investigations to determine the causes of contamination, recommendations for remediation, microbial remediation plans, and mold remediation project oversight.
IHP provides clients with complete confined space entry services designed to ensure the health and safety of workers and comply with the OSHA confined space regulations in general industry (29 CFR 1910.146), construction (29 CFR 1926.1200) and shipyard employment (29 CFR 1915). All atmospheric monitoring is conducted by or under the direction of a technically qualified professional; Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and/or Certified Marine Chemist (CMC).
IHP provides technically qualified professionals for inspecting and approving hot work in maritime, general industry, and construction sites. Certified Marine Chemists (CMCs) are available to issue Marine Chemist Certificates for hot work on vessels and/or within shipyards and Certified Industrial Hygienists (CIHs) are available to issue Hot Work Permits and Gas-Free Certificates for hot work in general industry and construction environments.
With proficiency in OSHA regulations, IHP provides consultation, on-site inspections, and written programs designed to identify and minimize physical hazards capable of causing accidents or injuries at building, road, and other construction sites.
